Greetings and welcome to the virtual home of the St. Croix Alumnae Chapter (STXAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Chartered January 25, 1975, STXAC is a service organization with stellar programming addressing diverse needs of the community we serve. This includes, but not limited to College Scholarships for young men and women; programs for girls ages 9-18; supporting and bring awareness to sickle cell anemia and advocating for change in our society through social action initiatives. With our growing membership of college-educated women, we strive to embody the core principles of Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service. By planning and executing programs and events under the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, STXAC will continue to make an impact in the St. Croix, USVI community. This site will serve as your resource for understanding our organization as well as a guide to the various events, programs, and services that STXAC provides. St. Croix Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has proudly served the St. Croix community since 1975. Our ongoing public service initiatives are a testament to our commitment to investing in and making a powerful impact in our St. Croix community.
We emanate Delta’s national platform of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service and Social Action -ever-ready to be at the forefront in advocacy and justice for mankind. Inspired by the vision of our 22 illustrious Founders, we are diligent and purposeful in our efforts.
Since its chartering, St. Croix Alumnae Chapter has grown significantly, and has a proud legacy of dynamic, influential and exceptional women whose contributions to our local community have been noteworthy. Through our chapter programs, our members aim to make
a significant difference in the areas of educational and economic development, physical and mental health, political awareness and involvement, and international awareness.
We invite you to work collaboratively with us by supporting any of our chapter initiatives and programs. Our collective efforts will help to continuously improve the quality of life of our St. Croix community. Five-Point Programmatic Thrust
The major programs of the Sorority are based upon the organization's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.
Since its founding in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts challenges. Over the years, a wide range of programs addressing education, health, international development, and strengthening of the community have evolved. In realizing its mission, Delta Sigma Theta provides an extensive array of public service initiatives through its Five-Point Program Thrust of Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
